Do we know the inventor of bulb.

We all know that Thomas Alva Edison invented the bulb. But it was actually invented by Humprey Davy an englishman. it was too bright to be used at home and was used as a search light and for the light houses. thomas Alva Edison improved it using the carbon filament.

I did not know that! I always thought Thomas Alva Edison was the inventor of the light bulb! He didn't but he sure improved it! Once again an inventor is overlooked because someone else improved the invention and is one of the most used invention of all time! This isn't the first this happen! I know it has before. I just can't think of an example at this time! Good discussion topic!
