What board game do you like to play with a group of adult relatives or friends? Let's leave out the real common ones like Monopoly and Life. I'm trying to find some adult (ones also appropriate for older teens) board games that we maybe haven't heard about before. Please tell what the game is about. My favorite adult board game is Scotland Yard. It is a game where a group of players (or one player if only 2 people are playing) who play the "police" try to track down "Mr. X" who is the criminal. Mr. X is traveling around the streets of London and appears periodically during the game so the "police" occasionally know where he was his previous move. Different modes of transportation can be used with different puzzle pieces such as "Bus", "Taxi" and "Underground" pieces. It is a LOT of fun.

but there are a few reasons not to, first, I'd not be able to be on mylot and second, I'd have to have friends who also want to play them...

Hello Tinym8. I love to play Backgammon. It's the world's oldest board game and it's quite easy to play but it can be hard to win, it depends on the roll of the dice. I've been looking for somewhere to play for free online but they few sites that are around all charge after a month or so.

Hi AutumnGold, I have heard of backgammon but have never played it. I'll have to try it. Let us know if you find a place online where it can be played for free. That would be great.

My favorite adult and teen board game is Cashflow 101.. this is an educational board game that educates kids and adults how to handle cash in the real world.. trains them to spot an opportunity and delineate between an asset and a liability. This board game is made and distributed by Rich Dad Technologies.. and this is the brainchild of Robert Kiyosaki - a best selling author of Rich Dad, poor Dad.. How I wished I was introduced to this game when I was still a kid.

Wow, Incus, that sounds like a GREAT idea for a game! I too wish I had a game like that when I was a kid. I think there should be some sort of mandatory class in the schools to teach kids how to handle money. It is sorely needed.
