Recently i went to abirami mall in Chennai. There is an aquarium. I saw a fish there. They told it is kissing gold. When i went to purchase it in store every store person said there is no fish named kissing gold. The specialty of the fish is when two fishes comes opposite to each other they kiss and go. If someone knows the correct name help me to know. So that i could buy it.

they are kissing grommies definitely. Its scientific name is Helostoma temminkii. Kissing Gouramis are best known for their habit of extending their lips and kissing. This "kissing" is mostly used for scraping algae off of rocks. The Kissing Gourami gets its name from the way it "kisses" other gouramis and fish, especially during feeding and also sometimes during courtship and combat. The "kissing" action is not a sign of affection, but may be a display of aggression to establish dominance over the other. In general, kissing gourami is a relatively peaceful and non-aggressive species .. Have a nice day and Happy mylotting :D
