I dont know what the definition of algebra is but I have a very good experience about it. When I was in high school, I was really bad at it cause I didnt know what the teacher was talking about and I didnt see its relevance in my life. When I was already in college, I realized that I was actually good at it and I get to have really good marks in algebra. I think it has also something to do with my teacher cause she was really good.

I totally hate everything about MATH! Anything about numbers to solve I hate it because it took me so long to realize on how to solve the problem. But I must admit that sometimes in Algebra you can relate something in real life situation. Like for example the algebraic expression if positive multiply by negative it is negative, in real life situation if the person does not like you then you did something good to that person then he refuses or that person doesn't like you still but then if you did the bad thing for the person that does not like you then the result is the same.

i'd rather have algebra than trigo! lol! In algebra you'll only need to master how to transpose perfectly in order for you to work things out on a certain problem. I wasn't good in math during high school, but when I started out in college and have my very best friend named CALCULATOR, I started liking it. the only thing I realize is that in math you need to review all the basic stuff. if you know and master the basic, everything will be easy. and PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!! sounds boring huh?! but really, if you didn't practice then might as well drop out all the math subject and never graduate. I am a computer programmer, once I also ask myself for what are those stupid subjects all about. I also thought that you'll only need is addition and subtraction for you to know if your monthly paycheck is right. ^.^ but much to my surprise on my currently field algebra and TRIGO (really got a hard time on trigo!) as implemented. I think it depends on what goal you are really setting with your life. i do think that studying these stuff during college is just training for students because once you already in the working field problem occurs that answer cannot be found on a book. good luck with your studies! just don't give up! it's part of life. ^.^
