Do you respond to old posts?

I am new here in MyLot. I love writing and sharing my views and giving out advices that's why MyLot caught my interest. However, as I was browsing through the discussions posted, I noticed that responses and comments stops after such discussions have been posted a day or two. I've observed further that other MyLotters tend to respond/comment only to new posts. Is my observation valid? What about you, do you respond to older posts?

Yes, it does happen that I will respond to old posts. If I find that a discussion is interesting, then I will respond to it. Whether it's an old discussion or not, it really doesn't matter much to me.

As long as it still catches my attention, I will still participate in such discussions. Even if such discussions have been posted before. Not entirely the same but, perhaps initiated by another myLot member on a different time line, I will still participate in such discussions. Participating to similar discussions started by different myLot members doesn't always mean that the same members who have posted their comments or ideas on the first discussions would be the same people who would be participating on another. Even though identical posts or themes within discussions are duplicated, of course not intentional, you would still yield different responses from different members. Yes, some discussions might be the same in content with those that have been previously posted but, initiating a discussion, even if its very interesting, doesn't guarantee that it would be exposed to a lot of members for a long period of time. We might as well just participate every time a good discussion comes along, be it a new one or one that you can admit, you have participated before.

Of course, if I can then why should not I? If you use mylot's search engine you might find so many old discussion from 3 months ago and up to 1~2 years ago. it really helps when there is nothing interesting to comment to.

I myself can see that some of my discussions posted a week ago seem to go to an end. I just got responses to my recently posts. That's reasonable in some way. No one can online all day on MyLot to search for discussions posted long time ago, just some new discussions appear on homepage got notice. I myself don't have much time so just can respond to some new discussions.

If a topic is interesting then it makes no difference to me when it was originally posted. We earn for what we type but it doesn't matter where we post it as long as it is within the Guidelines. Some of my own discussions keep coming back to life even though I started them years ago so it seems that there are others who post on ancient topics too

Yes I do and it happens everytime when I find something interesting to respond to, normally it is not always the recent posts which are always meant to respond to but there are older post which are more to our choice.
