Love football, hate footballers

I have loved football ever since I was a small boy, All I wanted to be when I grew up was a professional footballer, unfortunatly I wasn't good enough. I still play at amateur level and I watch Huddersfield Town. But what is starting to annoy me about football is the modern day players. Im fed up with the way they fking themselves to the ground when they are slightly touched, sometimes I see this when a player is being harrased by a defender and the player hasn't got a trick to beat the defender so he just goes down like a sack of potatoes. This dissapoints me, you never saw players like Georgie Best do this. Other things that bother me is that they take no responsibility if they lose, they always try to blame the officials instead of themselves. I don't footballers relise how privileged they are to play the beautiful game for a living and I think they are slowly killing the game we love. It is no longer the game for the working class, and many poor families are being priced out of watching the team they support( I know this is not footballers fault but i thought i would mention it anyway). I wonder what football will be like in 15 years.

I agree that football has become more a business than a sport, but I think we will always love it, because of what represented. I always said, that the team is made by the people who love it, not only by the players. Every team has a particular "spirit", something that that team means and I think that is why we love this game. I want my team to win, but not with all ways. I don't want my team to cheat(diving or other theatrical actions), I want to win with fair play. These is how I feel about football, hope that the essences will be the same as long as I live and beyond.

I really hate this jealousy towards footballers. I really do not see a problem with the vast majority of Professional footballers. Of course you do get the few who do bad things and get into trouble but to me it's just mostly bitterness towards them.

They used to play it for the passion of the game. Nowadays? Money and glamour. Nothing wrong with that actually. But what is severely damaging is the lack of sportsmanship.

Hello first.I really like football like you.Yes it is very annoying when you see someone falling on the field without the defender have fouled him.But anyway i still like very much football because it is the best game in the world. The bad thing about football nowadays is that more of the players plays for themselves and not about the club and the crowd.
