Salt Debate

United States

Today I got some seasoned salt at the store, when I got home my roommate informed me that we already had some. Then he pulled out a bottle that said "Seasoning Salt". I told him they were different, he disagrees. The seasoned salt is a different color from the seasoning salt so therefore in my opinion they are different. And I don't get the same flavoring with the seasoning salt as I do with seasoned salt. So maybe you mylotters can help put an end to this debate. Is there a difference between seasoned salt and seasoning salt? :)

Wow that is a really interesting debate lol. I'm not sure what the difference is but I have been going to my local dollar store and trying to find a similar "seasoning" salt they use on the fries at my local burger joint. . .sadly I have not been able to find it as of yet (the taste of different seasoning/seasoned salts I found were really different), but that does not mean I will stop trying! Good luck on your quest to find answers :)

If they are a different color they are different. You could buy several brands of the stuff and have them all different. There is no hard and fast rule as to what is in seasoning salt and seasoned salt.

have you checked the ingredients? never heard of seasoning salt and most seasoned salt has corn starch in it so I never get the stuf
