Have you ever wondered that the issue of time and things that we want to do have been going on around for centuries? Of all the discussion that we have done did man really find a concrete and profound answer to this? We'll another good topic to discuss things out and to know each and everyones opinion on this matter is a good mental workout.

Hi aidorm! No one answer would fit the bill as there is no one solution to solve every problem. The issue of time and things would still be as real in ancient times as it is today. As long as there is man and as long as there is life, man continues to find a concrete and profound answer to all his needs, to his life.

You're right on that one. It means like relativism is the key in answering and addressing this question right? However I am bothered by the idea on how to fit this in reconciling it to the perception of man of a universal concept.

Man's search for knowledge has left him with so much things to learn and never enough time to learn them. The search for excellence in our lives, in sports, architecture, paintings has been in us from the earliest civilization and has never stopped either. If I understand well what you ask these are the universal concept of man's quest through the times.

Hi Aidorm, On a lighter vein, the following limerick gives a solution to your discussion. "There was once a young fellow called Bright whose speed was much faster then light. He set out one day, In a relative way. And came back the previous night" (I read this somewhere long back and it came suddenly to my mind now)

I think that there are alot of things that i would want todo yet there is no time at all todo them in.I think that there are too many things that we have to do in life that we seem to get all those things done and hardly no fun time left.I think that there are alot of people that have started a discussion like this,so we must all feel the same way.

Yes-there are so many things we want to do but we haven't got the time to do all those things. The next best thing is then to devote your time only to your favorite topics. I guess this is how the first specialists came about. But one fallacy in this argument is that famous people in the past e.g. Leo(-da vinci and not di Caprio) who painted, wrote and was a man of science too. I guess really creative people have this fountain of genius inside them and for them, science, humanities, arts, engineering are all the same for them. I had installed a Cummins make KTA 16 cyl diesel engine and believe me, when it started working, I was captivated by the beauty and the perfect harmony of those miniscule sub-assemblies so as to give the desired whole (power in this case)

Yeah! Choosing and exerting all of your effort in a given field is the best way to enjoy life.
