well if your gonna built one why dont you try something like this: proci= AMD athlon x2 5000 2.2ghz mobo= MSI 785GTM-E45 mems= 2gb Kingston DDR2800 HDD= 250gb seagate sata(or just recycle form old pc) casing/PSU= use some generic casing w/cpu (they are verry cheap) monitor/LCD= LG 16" LG w1642S widescreen all of them will go around $300~$350 but if you take the LCD away, thats just around $200 ^_^

For $350? Hmm. I'm not gonna suggest HP too, does HP cost that low? Anyway if it is, surely it will be sluggish. Just built your own, don't buy a NEW lcd, invest on a nice motherboard with built in videocard (to save money) Intel core 2 duo (Speed 2.66 +), atleast 2 gig ram, and 1 terra hard disk. I think that should fit your budget.
