Is Aggressive Bad?

The Philippine culture is complex and it is influenced by a lot of the outside world. One of the issues that always matter is that Filipina women should not be aggressive derived from the age-old customs and traditions. But is aggressive bad? I think it depends on how people define aggressive. In one of my hubpages, I wrote "It maybe unbelievable but the idea of an aggressive woman is oftentimes misunderstood as one with loose morals or character, or one who is sexually promiscuous or immoral. Philippine women are characterized as the female partners who should be demure, subservient, and morally upright. A Filipina,if chosen to be a partner, should therefore be passive and submissive, which is a total opposite of aggressive. The conception that she should be headstrong, unyielding, or demanding is very much opposed by the society and the men themselves."
