Are you a good poker player?

Don't ask me. I am very frustrated with this game. LOL. I hardly get the drift and most of the times, been unlucky with the "hole" cards. Good thing I only play it on the net, particularly in Facebook (Zyngapoker games)so it's very safe. Because if I have played it like on actual games, I might be facing a thousand debts already by now and will not be heard here in mylot. LOL. How about you, guys? Do you by chance play this game? If you do, I hope you could share some secrets, tips, techniques or anything that could make me be a better player. Thanks and happy weekend to all. =)

I suck at card and board games. I even suck at ball games. I realize that I have no place in the world of any games! But I have been hearing about some associations of people here who are gambling on poker for real. It started with online poker and now they're doing the real deal. Even betting with large sums of money! It's become a craze. It's silly, really. No offense.

LOL. It's not that bad really but UI won't force you into it. Maybe you just happened to have a different interest. :d

more of a skill player than luck. thats why i rarely win online but win a lot offline. well the easiest technique i can give you is: if you dont have a good card but you think winnable ex. j8, 710, 89 and just check before the community cards. youll not lose that much money but have a higher chance of winning. and my best trick, if you have a great card, bet big, then after the 3 cards check. the one that is still playing will likely think that you are bluffing with your big betting. then bet big again and such. This move won me a tournament seat with a Q10 same suit.

Can I add you on FB kabayan so we can play poker? I just started to learn this game December of last year. I also play tong-its and this game we call piyat-piyat so I don't have a hard time knowing what a straight, flush, full house, 4 of a kind, etc.. I learned some tricks by watching those poker tour shown on TV, how and when they raise but Im still learning from it and also their high accuracy on figuring out what their opponent's card is. I currently have 2M chips on FB

I understand the rules of poker and have played poker with others and video poker too. I am not really that good when it comes to playing with people. I do not bluff well and the people I usually play with are really good at it and play it all the time. I prefer to just play against a machine.

LOL, I have some similarities with you. I am poor abilities when it comes to bluffing. Even some of my networking friends can know because according to them, I am the "sure card" type of player. LOL

You would be very happy to play poker with me. i know next to nothing about playing the game. i could have a winning hand and never know it. i am not sure i could bluff anyone either. My brother-in-law is quite the poker player. he even watches poker shows on television. he also plays a poker game online. 5 would not be a threat to anyone's poker's game! Ha Ha!

im not a professional poker player. I just play by chance together with my friends here. usually spending 500 pesos at max for a single day of poker session. ^^ one principle i can suggest maybe is you have to learn how to fold. I know poker is a game of gamble but you have to calculate the risks. If given, one of your card is 10 and above, then paired with 6 and below, you better fold it before anyone will call a raise prior the flop. But if you have both cards above 10 (includes the Jack, Queen, King and Ace) then dont FOLD. This time, learn to raise. You have a good chance here of winning Thats one principle i follow when i play poker. Hope i have helped you somehow. ^^

usually, I am pretty safe with my cards even though it's online. But whenever it frustrates me, I call anytime even if cards aren't that great. LOL. Thanks, Clint. I'll try to remember your tips. :D

I know the rules, and a few tricks, and I have a few friends who play a lot, but I am really not that good at it myself, to be honest. I just don't play enough I think, practice makes perfect! So if you want to improve your poker skills, try to play free poker games online to get more experience...
