Academic dishonesty or academic misconduct is any type of cheating that occurs in relation to a formal academic exercise. One example is plaigarism, The adoption or reproduction of original creations of another author (person, collective, organization, community or other type of author, including anonymous authors)without due acknowledgment. Can anyone tell me what are some forms/types of academic dishonesty???

Well, I know of a popular one, besides plagarism, that EVERYONE knows basically...called straight up "laziness". When a student is too lazy to do work, they hurry and put down some random stuff for their "work" and try to turn it in. I know a LOT of kids at my school do it because they really don't care...it's so sad.:(

I have to agree with you my friend. I have to say we could also blame the teachers or the materials used thats why some students tend to be lazy. Perhaps they found it very boring. And so it is important to take note active engagement in class activities goes a long way to help information stick. Chances are the class might be a bit more interesting too...much more so than staring at the clock! (this is for all the students out there) Thanks for the info my friend. Have a nice day!

Honestly, I've been a victim of "dry, bored topics" because the teachers in my high school just stick to the facts and hardly ever put any fun activities into their lessons. I believe that in the near future, the topics are going to become so unappetizing to the mind that students won't even bother to do the assignments. I also believe that students in this time and age are becoming...less active with their minds, let's say. I only say this because I find myself often going "huh? Oh god..." because again, the teachers don't bother to put any adventure into learning anymore. So, I don't understand straight out facts. I need to be taught in a way that gets me involved...does that make sense?

Dishonesty breeds corruption, in our country a simple corruption could start from a simple lie. That is why it is important that schools and universities place the virtue of honesty as a top priority. Honesty after all is the best policy.
