What was your first pet?

Remember that day you got to go to the pound or the pet shop and find a friend? Remember the feeling of taking them home and feeding them? My first pet I could buy on my own was a hamster. It was a teddy bear hamster and I named him SNICKERS like the candy bar. I loved SNICKERS so. He was great until my cousin gave him bologna. Who does that, even at 9? Why would a herbavore eat bologna? Geez!

I received my first pet when i was just beginning grade school. It was a yellow canary. I loved that sweet bir and was quite devastated when it was no longer aiive. There is nothing more crushing to a chid than to lose a pet. Losing a first pet can be like losing a dear friend.

My first pet is a dog my father named it Blackie because of its thick black hair.

My first pet was when I was a young child. A stray kitten showed up in my neighbors yard and my parents let me keep him. He was a tabby cat and he was scrawny and cross-eyed (honest...he was really cross-eyed). I named him Monkey. He would let me carry him around like a baby and wrap him in blankets. He was a great first pet!
