Where do you stand? what are your politics? I am apathetic these days. I could care less, I dont think it really makes any difference which political party manages to come to power. Its all a smoke-screen anyway. I have become really cynical as far as politics is concerned. I used to consider myself a liberal for a while..

Every political party in my country is centre-right slavishly following the economy and with no vision for what is good for society - even the left of centre parties! So, I am dissillusioned too. I think the future is in re-inventing political action from the ground up - maybe new forms of party-type politics or political movements will come from that.

I agree with you. Is there any point in it..I mean really? Why don't we all usher in a revolution?!

Have you read people like Slavoj Zizek, Alain Badiou or Jacques Ranciere. Philosophers, so a bit heavy going at times, but they are struggling to rethink the revolutionary tradition for today.

In my country, there is one very prominent party which occupy almost all the seats in the parliament. I am of the belief that having a single party is bad for the country. I am hoping that as a voter, I am able to change it, but it will be very difficult to dislodge the party.

I define myself as a libertarian, or what USED to be called liberal here a very long time ago. Liberal here has a whole other meaning here in the U.S. now though and can more accurately be described as "statist" or "progressive"....actually wanting BIGGER government and MORE government involvement in peoples lives rather than smaller government and less involvement, as the classic definition of "liberal" used to describe it. I want....no, DEMAND strict adherence to our constitution and the intentions of our founders had for our federal government, which isn't really supposed to be a government at all as one might think of it, but rather an agent to serve our republic of states that created it.

Well I live in a country where Politics now a days is all about corruption and delaying off things essential for the common man. I have become apathetic towards politics these days and realize that the future of my country is not going anywhere but down the drains. There is rampant corruption everywhere and the prices of even the essential commodities are rising steeply. None of the politicians is interested in Nation. It is everywhere Me First Party Next and then... if anything remains...
