a 27o can beat AA so its defenetivly a game of luck but its a game of skill too because if u know how to play well if u consider your position on the table your cards, what your oponents do u can read them and u can play only when the chance of loosing is smaller then what the risk is and win in a long run , afcourse in the shor run its mostly luck but in a long run if u do everything correctly u can defenetivly profit check this site http://pt.pokerstrategy.com/uDF8OH has a lot of great articles that teach u how to play and u can get free 50$ on fulltilt with rakeback which is awesome

Poker is a game of both skills and luck. You know the saying " know when to hold'em, know when to fold'em". It's takes more skills when there a lot of players at the table. But to be a good poker player you need to know how to bet and when to bet. The luck really comes down to the end of the game. Are you willing to go all in without seeing the cards because if there are two of you and you are a the small hand. Look out because you will continue to be called all in, that's is when luck happen. Is this a lucky hand to maybe double up and take control of the game or is this the end. More skill than luck because you need to get your chips up and be the big hand at the table. But sometimes it takes time to get chips. They say great poker players don't play that many hands.

I believe it's bit of both. You can have all the skills in the world but if you are not getting any playable hands, it's really hard to win any hands.

I think that it is a bit about both really. It is the luck of the cards though the skill of playing.

I would say it is both a game of skill and luck. You get lucky if you get good cards. But it takes skill to play those cards. Even if you get bad cards a skilled player can bluff you into thinking he has good cards or vice versa. So I would say a small amount of luck is involved but a great amount of skill is also involved.

I believe it is 75% luck and 25% skill. I think the skill comes in in the form of knowing the pot odds and calculate the proper bet to put in the keep getting some action. But it is always the big possability that the next card after the flop would be the card to ruin your odds of winning the hand. If it was based off mostly of skill, poker pros would be winning the world series of poker more often. But its the luck that keeps people in the game.

Playing poker for regular profit is all about skill. The ability to sit in one place for hours. Quickly doing math in your head. Recalling other players tendencies. Knowing where you are in the tourney and acting properly. All items of skill. However, in the short term (from one hand to another) luck can play a factor. Poker is a game of skill, that can have short term luck determine a hand.
