Hello all you lovely people. Today I am in need of your help. My boyfriend's birthday is approaching and I don't know what to get him. He isn't very interested in material things so figuring out what to get him tends to be very difficult. He mentioned that he likes cool pc accessories at one point, but I don't know anything about pc accessories. He loves football, but doesn't support a particular team, so I can't get him anything related to that. I am going to get him a perfume, but I need to get him something else too. He doesn't want clothes either. I don't want to get him chocolates as those feel very impersonal. Any suggestions?

If your boyfriend is not interested in material gifts give him an experience. If he is so much into football buy him tickets for the finals even if they are months away. Never mind that it is not yet evident who will be the finalists. Guys like this kind of things. This is very unique gift and I'm sure he will brag about it to his friends. I can't see what else could beat it.

I considered gifting him an experience day for a very long time. I was particularly interested in the adventure ones, like bungee jumping as I know he likes that sort of thing. Problem with tickets is, he lives with his parents and often has other commitments so I can't know for sure whether he will be free on a particular day. I might get him an experience day that is more flexible with dates though.

Paint ball is quite expensive where I live, and in the amount of money that I would have to pay for it, I could easily get him something much better that he will cherish more. Skydiving sounds fun, I will definitely look into it. Thanks for the suggestions.

Yes, it's a good idea. Men like all kind of extreme sports, experiences etc. Tandem skydiving is also great. The person is jumping with the instructor, connected with harness. I know many guys who like paintball. Because it's played by two teams, you and his friends can participate also.

I don't really want to make something for him as I am not very creative so I am afraid I will ruin it and the end product won't look good. The football idea sounds interesting though.

He already gave you hint, so it is quite straight forward. The computer accessories it is. However, computer gadget would last soon i.e. it would absolete soon. You can get good gift ideas for man here tough http://www.squidoo.com/anniversary-gift-idea-for-men

Unfortunately, I don't know much about computer accessories and I have no idea what kind of computer gadget he would like. I have checked out the link you provided and while a lot of the gifts were really nice, I didn't really find anything that I think my boyfriend would like. He's a simple man with simple tastes, but some of the gifts on that website were quite over the top.

He already has a really nice watch that was a gift from someone and is very special to him so I don't want him to have to choose between that watch and the one I give him, so I don't want to give him a watch right now. But maybe sometime in the future I will get him a watch. Thanks for your reply :)
