Do you think it is a good idea to take a year off when you graduate high school to go to college, or should you got right after graduating high school? Which is best in your opinion?

well i think taking a year off will just be fine. it enables you to mentally prepare for college. you are able to relax after serious studies in high school. well for me it helped me realize what kinda stuff i really wanted to learn,do and all that and now i feel like i am more prepared for college.it all depends on you and your circumstances.

I don't think it's a good idea, taking a year break before continuing college? First, it will only lengthen the years to graduate in college. Second, you won't feel going to College again once you find something more interesting than continuing your studies. Third, You'll get behind with your batch mates. So for me, I don't really feel having time off before College. but its up to you, its your decision if you want to or not.

There are times where I really wish I did a lot of times take a year off, but then on the other hand, I don't want my mind to be too relaxed. It is very hard to get back into the groove when my brain has been off of education. I remember when summer vacation happened. Yay, summer vacation, a grand time with two months and three weeks without school, but I had to go back eventually and it was hard to get back into the groove. It really depends. I think that if you have a college lined up, then it might be the best idea to go into it. After all, if that opportunity is there then, then go for it, because you really do not know if it will be there the next year or not. It is all about seizing the moment and getting the best education possible and when that education is there, you should go for it. However, if there is nothing clear, then perhaps you might need more time to explore your options and taking a year off to give a very important thing some thought.

It is really up to you. But I did take a semester off of college (not a year) But I made that semester up in summer school. I decided to take the first year of college off to work. And to find out what I want out of life. When I did go back to school it was the spring semester and i did figure what i wanted in to major in. its really ok to take a semester off or a year off, its up to you. good luck in whatever you decided to do.

Its better to go straight to college or at least vocational school. You don't want to lose momentum and time. Just a question what are you planning to do with the one year?? Plan out everything for the next 5 to 10 years so that you wont lose sight of your goal. I say do it all the way without stopping

it depends on the financial. some people stop schooling for college and work just to earn money

I feel you should got to graduate your college right after your high school. 'Cause if you take a year off after your high school, you won't feel like studying. In the year off you must be enjoying a lot, you will be hardly going through book. So after year, when you are back to college you don't feel like opening your books. But if you don't take a year off you don't get a chance to develop a bad habit. The energy to study will be not lose, so you don't feel like giving up the studies.
