I dont have both I dont own any of those phones. But if you are going to based it in the comments by people who used this phones. They considered the blackberry is more good to have a phone. Although its expensive, because it will guarantee a satisfaction performance.

Blackberry has the Curve 8520 which is rather cheap in price as any of the other ones.

I have both phones. And for that, I will recommend Samsung Omnia! Happy MyLotting!

i looked into the omnio too.. and from what i ahave seen i think i actually prefer it to the storm . in all honesty, i dont think touch screen phone can compare to the iphone. I purchased the lg dare the day it came out and was very disappointed. But, back to mentioned phones, i'll have to actually use the phones to make a decision - the storm's "button screen" doesn't sound very appealing to me.

Read the written reviews for each phone model on phonearena.com. If you're thinking about buying a blackberry with a physical QWERTY keyboard, then I'll support it but if you're deliberating on two touchscreen phones, I'd have to go with the Omnia... Though nowadays, truthfully, I'd recommend you to save up in order to buy the new phones out there... Like the HTC Desire HD if you're looking for all touchscreen or the HTC Desire Z which is both touchscreen and slide QWERTY. I have had the Omnia for more than a year now and the stock Windows Mobile 6.1 OS drove me crazy. It was really crappy though some applications made up for it. Still, I'm already looking forward to replacing it with the Desire HD this coming October to December (whichever time it shows up on the Philippine market at certain HTC retail stores). I suppose you're right with the Omnia's durability as I have dropped this phone at least 3 times and it's still working. However, it was all very crappy until I flashed the ROM with a cooked Windows Mobile 6.5 ROM. If something goes wrong during the process, you could brick your phone so I didn't do that until 3 weeks ago. During the rest of the time I had to spend with my Omnia, I had to go and install SPB Home which is a kind of shell that overrides the usual interface. It's an application; not a ROM. And it copies the HTC interface with its skins, large clock, customizable program widgets, and fun photo contacts. If you want something that will copy the iPhone interface, I suppose the closest you can get to a mobile shell is Winterface and its family of apps like SMS Chat and Fun Contact... Other than that, there is nothing else you can do. And seriously, I'm giving this phone away to my 7-year-old sister so she can have a phone of her own once I get my HTC Desire HD.

Have you read personal reviews about the two brands or the particular phones. User reviews are very essential every time you decide to buy something that you will have for the first time. Read also about the durability, the price, the cost of repair(in case your phone will be broken) etc. Good luck wit your decision.

Go for Blackberry, the reason is all the features will work according to your liking. Samsung Omnia look is good but the screens and browsers are of the same as Samsung Corby series and other basic models. Other than look, I did not like other features in Samsung Omnia, so, I will go for blackberry but you did not tell me the model of blackberry.
