Well first of all it depends if anyone is in the house with you. If there is then you could play some board games all day long. If you are alone you could read, watch TV, take up a hobby, clean a room in your house from top to bottom, bake something new and delicious. If none of that sounds good then why not spend the day online making money on different sites.

Hi, If I were you I would just lie down and have a full relaxation. During a rainy day it is the best time to sit cozily or just lie down while hugging a big, comfy pillow. Making yourself a full cup of hot cocoa can add into the coziness, and soon you'll drift off to sleep. Isn't this wonderful? However, if you don't like to sit idle, there are some activities that you can do during a rainy day. You can prepare a simple dish, like baking a simple chocolate cake. I have a recipe which does not require you to use any mixer or beater or any electrical gadgets at all. At the same time, you don't need to do manual beatings. You only mix 2 cups of flour, a cup of cooking oil, a cup of sugar, a cup of sweetened condensed milk, a cup of cocoa powder, a teaspoonful of baking powder, a teaspoonful of bicarbonate soda, 2 eggs, and 1 cup of boiling water into the same mixing bowl. Stir well until the mixture blends well, and this process does not require you to beat or anything, just stir gently will do. Then pour the mixture into a glazed tin and put the tin into a preheated oven. Bake for 45 minutes or until your toothpick comes out clear when you insert it into the center of the cake. Take out, cut and serve with hot, plain tea. Yummy!

I think all of Shar's suggestions are great ones. I am not fond of too many rainy days, but once in a while, I enjoy them. A rainy day gives you an excuse not to go out of the house! If the kids aren't home, I use some of the time to watch a TV show that I can't watch when they are around like CSI or House, or read a book, which is hard to do with two boys scampering through the house! Or, I put on my grungy cleaning clothes and do a deep clean of the kitchen or bathrooms or something, or clean out the boys' clothes or toys--something I DEFINITELY cannot do when they are home! If you like to cook, why not use a rainy day to cook something that requires a lot of time and your attention, like homemade soup, or a cake, or turkey, etc.? And there's nothing wrong with using a rainy day to catch up on missed sleep!
