busy, busy, busy!!...........................

i am so busy at work today. i am a secretary for a local high school and we are in the midst of getting ready for yet another school year. we have 800 students and new folders must be made for each of them. i had to make 800 copies of like 7 seperate sheets describing different things. i also had to make 800 copies of a 26-page student conduct book. i am so tired of seeing paper right now but maybe i shouldn't complain because that paper is allowing me to make the green paper (if you know what i mean : ).
how busy are you today? or you on vacation still or do you have the pleasure of working from home? 4:00pm can't come soon enough. thanks for sharing and god bless!

Hey Linda! Wow! They have you back at work already? I thought
the staff goes back two weeks before the kids. They are really
having you in there real early! But, I know how you feel about
doing those huge copying jobs! When I was a Legal Secretary
I had to do those types of copy jobs all the time when I had
to put together a "Legal Brief" with all the court papers,
exhibits and other documents! By the time I was finished I
never wanted to go near a copy machine again! And of course,
the damn machine would jam after running a load of copies and
mix me up so I lost count too! What a nerve wracking job that
was!

Hey there Opal!
I work through the year so I don't get off when the students do. At one time I did though. I used to be 10-month Secretary now I'm a 12-month Secretary. I couldn't deal with not having money during the summer time. The bills would pile up on me Opal and trying to play catch up with the bills isn't easy.

Hi Linda4ualways,
I do, I do sympathtize with you. I too work in the school system, at an elementary school. I just looked at my calendar and I grunted when I realized that I have this and next week left on my summer vacation, school resumes on August 23.
I work directly with the students in the classroom, so I don't have to deal directly with the administration area. You all are the people would keeps everything running smoothly. The choas would be doublefold if you all were not as efficient as you are.
Even though you had a arduous task, I am sure you will get it all organized without breaking a nail.

Oh thank you Angelgirl16! Yes I do believe that it's the Secrataries or Administrative Assistant't ( to be correct) that keeps everything flowing. We are depended on for a lot. Happy school year to you also
