In Reference to Willie's Situation: Can you end a binding contract?

Quite puzzled about the ABS-CBN Issue against Willie the wowowee. Is there a human rights guidelines over this? Or shall we say, does ABS-CBN's decision not releasing willie from its contract a selfish act or humane? I guess it's a matter of a character assassination. I don't know where to side but I'm always a fan of an underdog. So what's your views on this?

There are 2 sides of the story. That's why there's a contract to bind them. It stipulates what the parties have agreed upon. By law, both parties are required to do what's written on it. That's why contracts are important so in case something went sour there will be basis on whose right and whose wrong. If the contract states that willie should stay with the network for a certain period of time then he is binded by that contract since he agreed to it in the first place. on the other hand both parties can ammend the contract as long as both consented to it. But until they recourse to that each of them are required to follow what they both agreed in the first place because it's BINDING.

I really don't like willie but i think ABS should release him from his contract if they're not going to give him any job. Its unfair if you will bind a person to a contract that prevents him to earn a living thats almost against human rights. And i think the 300 million ABS is allegedly asking from willie is also too much.

Yeah, its true its unreasonable. Willie may have been careless of his actions, I guess it's time for wowowee fans to have their support on an underdog situation, maybe appeal for a more humane means of settling the Issue. It's a David and Goliath situation.

well i think that contract is binding unless he goes to court and prove that abscbn did something wrong in their side.

I don't know about Willie's situation but i know that once you signed a contract, you are bound to that contract until it expires. You have to follow what the contract says or suffer the consequences that the contract states.

I guess somebody who's expert from this may help us out here. Contracts are meant to end when breach on either sides are committed. Willie Committed something against the management but with my own analysis, base on the video, that particular statements made by willie wasn't that odd at all. It could have patched up but I don't understand why out of the blue they came to eradicate the masses show

Usually a contract will be terminated if one or both parties terminates it (and this is agreed upon during the creation of the contract), there is a breach of contact or when it naturally expires. I guess if Willie is asking to be freed from his contract, maybe only ABS-CBN can prematurely terminate the contract. It's not like normal employment where if an employee can resign anytime he wants and be free from his contract. Willie agreed to these terms so he should respect the company's decision. I don't know if the contract violates human rights in the first place. But maybe this is the way Willie gets back what he deserves. Many people think he's a jerk and an a**hole. Maybe this pulls him back down from the pedestal he put himself in. (Sorry Willie fans!)
