have any of you experience of working with Amazon Mechanical Turk?

I was thinking of doing some work on this website. There appears to be more work available than on CloudCrowd. I know that as a non-US citizen I can only redeem my earnings as gift certificates, but that would not be so bad as I like books. Your experience or tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I think this site is better than cloudcrowd because yes, it has more jobs. This are what i do usually in order to get good credibility: 1. only accept tasks i am able to complete 2. always choose the easy jobs, regardless of the rewards. 3. be honest when completing a task 4. i always check the task before accepting it, means if the job needs me to find contact information, i will go to the website given and search for it first, if there is the info, i will accept the task. And lastly, good luck to you!

Thanks Huey365, those tips are very helpful. Credibility seems key, and I like the idea of beginning with smaller, simpler tasks. Thanks for the good wishes!

This is really helpful. It is great to get uncensored views and the benefit of others experience. It can take a lot of time and effort to figure out a system. Thanks!

I use mturk but I'm thinking of quitting after I reach my goal. I just want to buy something small from amazon. Anyways this website does have a lot of jobs but it can get tiring after a while. I used to make like $5 a week but now I make like .60 cents. Probably because I'm too busy with mylot. Well I'll give you some tips and hopefully their helpful. I'm kind of new at mturk so I don't know to much about it. 1) First complete really simple tasks which are usually the ones that pay .01 cents to help get your approval rate up. If your approval rate goes up then you will get more jobs because the requester usually wants people with high approval rates. 2)Take the qualifications test. This way you will be qualified to do better paying jobs. I have never taken the qualifications test. I just do small easy jobs but I gave you the second tip because someone mentioned it to me and said it would help.

Thanks m_perez - it is very helpful to hear of your experience. Taking qualifications tests sounds like a good idea. From other websites, I find it hard that so much work is required for tasks that pay only a cent or two. Its ok for a while, but then its hard to keep up the time commitment and the motivation.

Yes. i worked there for about 2 months and in the end they replied with the message..."your account is not falling in the minimum requirements of the Payout, so They took all i had earned". So I suggest you not to join that Legit site.

Yikes, I hate that kind of thing - happens with so many pay sites. Thanks for forewarning.
