Hi friend is there any possibility of using both Linux and XP in a single system or personal computer? Because my friend joined Linux class so he wants to practise Linux, but for me i know XP only not Linux. So will my personal computer allows both OS at a time???? Is it possible??? Please Suggest me friend.

Yes it is not only possible but preferable, because you can connect to the internet under Linux and be fairly confident that no nasty virii or trojans will effect you. Afterwards, you do a virus scan, then start up Windows for your games and entertainment. You will probably need some help to partition your disk and install linux. Your friend should have learned how to do this in the class. Even safer, is to use a Linux LiveCD. It is really slow but safe as can be. You can't write to a CD - nor can a virus!

Yup friend i think i should ask my friends who had experience in installing Linux rather than doing with my friend who is don't know anything and now itself learning the Linux operating system. So i can't use CD drive right.

I never used Linux but i know you can have several Windows running on your computer as OS - my boyfriend is doing that right now with Windows 7 and Windows XP Professional.

Off course, you can. You can install both Windows XP and Linux in single computer. You should install Windows XP first. When installing Linux, you will be asked by windows whether you will keep Windows or not. If you have finished installing both OS, you will have option to choose whether booting using Windows XP or Linux at start up. So, your friends can learn Linux while you still could use Windows XP.
