I slammed the lid of my laptop and now my laptop won't boot. The only thing it does is a check up and when trying to reinstall windows it says there's no room left on my hard drive, which is not true. What can I do? For the sake of clarity: of course I am writing this on another computer.

Have you tried to reboot to an earlier date through the bios itself?

oh gee, poor laptop hehehehehehe sorry for him. I think that fellow of yours has already phobia to you diamania and stop working. You have to take that fellow of yours to your trusted laptop center. Get him pampered, a sauna to make him back to work again.

Get a screwdriver and open it, check all the hardware if its still attach properly and if still doesn't work replace the hard drive with a new one... or try to remove your hard drive and fix it into another computer by using a enclosure case to your HD

Hi diamania! I think the problem with your laptop is your hard drive. You said that you have slammed the lid of your laptop and because of that it causes an impact especially on your hard drive. When it happened, are you using your laptop? Can you verify if your laptop can still recognize your hard drive on the BIOS? If not, that impact has caused your hard drive to loose, but that rarely happens especially when your laptop is turned off when that incident happens and because it is being locked with a couple of screws inside the laptop. Hard drives that cannot be detected by the BIOS are probably defective. If you have a bit of experience in computer, you can open the underside part of the laptop and make sure that your hard drive is firmly secured in its place. Its cover has usually have a label indicating that your hard drive is in there. But if not, you should contact the customer service support of your laptop for assistance. Hope this helps.
