Motherboard is quite one of the most important component of a computer. Motherboard manufacturers are in the race to release new features that comes with their product in order to compete and to stay in the market. Because of this, there are so many choices available for the user on what motherboard to use. This is quite technical, but as a user, what motherboard do you prefer to use and why?

I agree, motherboard is called so because it is the one part in the computer system which handles everything. I have a Gigabyte 790FXT UD5P, Its pretty sweet as I need to have many USB ports, it has dolby digital surround Sound card at a 44.1 KHz output, cross-fire graphics support and more, the only reason i got it is because i have used up all the 10 USB ports on the back, and 1 powered hub having 4 ports. I have those many instruments that connect to the computer, a usb microphone, a mixer, the tv card which then gets its input from my camcorder which i use as a webcam, my audio interface, and a lot more. I'm in love with my motherboard, it also has a lot of overclocking capability, but I won't be doing any on my AMD Phenom II X4 965BE processor, I'm also using a Corsait H50 liquid cooling to cool my processor chip. Thanks and have a great day!

Gigabyte motherboards are excellent quality motherboards when it comes to performance and features. Your motherboard is great,I can say. What attracts me with this motherboard is the "ALL SOLID CAPACITORS" this motherboard used, which are high quality and durability compared to ordinary electrolytic capacitors. Good choice!

Hi nhejjah! The motherboard is one the most important component of a PC. Almost every internal component of your computer can be connected to the motherboard, from floppy disk drives, hard disk drives, CD/DVD drives and card readers. Major PC components such as memory (RAM), processor, graphics card and other PCI cards can be installed in the motherboard. Virtually all parts of the PC is connected to the motherboard such as your keyboard and mouse, LCD monitor, printer and other devices. All the features that you can see and use on your computer are the features of your motherboard. The main component of the motherboard is the CHIPSET. The chipset controls almost all functions of the motherboard. It dictates on what Processor to use, what RAM types and speed can be installed, at what FSB must the motherboard will operate, and other aspects that determines the overall performance capability and features of your computer. This is quite technical, but hope this answer your questions.

I use original Intel 945 Motherboard. I prefered it because i don't believe on the quality of other brand motherboards and chip set motherboards. I am using this motherboard since more than four years and i havn't faced any problems from it.
