Hello my fellowmylotters, I came across an article in the newspaper about insomnia and I'd like to share them with you. a. Eating non fat popcorn 30 minutes before going to sleep. It produces serotonin, a neurochemical that will help you relaxx b. Drink at least a half glass of wine, it will help you to relax c. Eat yogurt where you will get lisine and peanuts have arginine, consume two hours before going to bed d. Last is oatmeal and banana, a bowl of hot oatmeal with banana wil help you sleep. According to the study melatonin is a brain hormone that signals the body to go to sleep and oats are rich in melatonin and a banana can be considered as s sleeping pill. I hope these will help for those who cannot sleep.

These are great tips. I am not technically an insomniac, since I can fall asleep fairly easily. My problem is that I am a light sleeper, and wake easily. Once I am awake, I cannot go back to sleep, no matter what time it is. I have tried hot milk, which works sometimes, but not consistently. I will try your suggestions, and see if they work at least as well as milk. It can't hurt!

Hi Suziegmom If you are middleaged that is one problem we cannot get out of. We can just accept it. One thing you can do is pray the rosary, one hundred percent guarantee that you are not finished yet you are asleep. Try it coz it works for me.
