I want to connect 3 PC through LAN connection. so help me please

Hi friends, i don't know that much how to connect these 3 computers thruogh LAN connection. I did google search but its of no use i didn't get the solution. So at last i am hear so asking for you people. Who is having talent then please share to me about this so that i connect it easily.

Hi sach143!
Make sure you have all the necessary requirements in order to setup your LAN connection:
A network switch / Router
Patch cable (UTP Cable) - one for each computer.
LAN card (New PC's has an Onboard NIC)
Once you have prepared all these requirements you can proceed.
Connect the patch cable at the NIC port on the back of your computer, then, connect the other end of the cable to switch / router port.
Repeat these process on the other computers.
Once finished, turn on the switch / router.
Configure your NIC to use "Obtain an IP address automatically" option.
(These is the default configuration in most cases, but it is worth a check just to be sure.)
Set your Computer Workgroup.
After that restart your computer and you are done.
Take note that this is just an overview of the basic steps on how to setup your network. Additional steps are required in some cases.

what kind of modem are you talking about? is it a modem provided by your ISP (internet provider)..or just an internal modem inside your computer?
if the modem (provided by your isp) does not have any ports for a wired connection, and no wireless router capability then there is no way you can connect 3 pc in a lan connection without buying a router or a hub..

Friend all are saying that i should have at least Hub or router or switch. But i am asking that without that type of materials, by only Lan cable can i be able to connect because i all ready mentioned that i have modem so from that its not possible to connect?

Yes, you must use either SWITCH or ROUTER so that you can connect your 3 computers here.
Maybe you are saying that you are planning to connect two computers theu a LAN cable?
In that case you must use a Cross-over type of cable, you can buy this at your local computer stores.
A modem is used in a single computer that connects to the Internet. In order for the other 2 computers to have an Intenet connection, you must use a ROUTER. Connect all your computers at the ROUTER, then your ROUTER must be connected to the MODEM.

easiest is to buy a router with ports so you have the option of going wireless if you computers are wifi readyor with a wired lan connection using rj45 and utp cables,. you can buy pre-crimped cables at local computer stores..
or if your modem (internet) is already a router capable, just buy a switch..and using wired cables just plug them and run network wizard and you are good to go.

So is there any other way where i can connect direct pc to pc connection through my modem without having this router, hub and switch?

Well, if you can try buying a Ethernet Crossover Cable this will give you a pc to pc connection. But it is only limited to 2 computers. I usually use this kind of cable to have a local area network connection between my desktop and laptop, since I don't have any router. Again, it is limited to 2 pcs. But if you really want to connect more than two then I suggest you go ahead with the hub or switch connection.

to make internet connection in 3 pc in 1 lan follow following steps:
1. buy a simple hub or switch , it won't cost much.
2. then connect the main internet connection (i.e. main modem wire) to 1 computer.
3. Then the connection that u use to surf internet on that main computer, share it.
4. Then take another cable and connect it to the switch or hub
Note: for this u need a pc( the main computer with 2 lan cards)
