So I have recently been introduced to freelance writing, and so far it looks like it could be a really good source of income. I have joined the Elance site and made proposals, I am currently awaiting responses with my fingers crossed. Has anyone gotten into freelance writing? Are there any tricks of the trade I should know about, or better websites I should visit?

I just sent Textbroker a sample of my writing today and I should know if Iam accepted as one of their writers in about a week. I researched the subject about freelance writing and there is a money earning potential for someone who really apply his/her self to the trade. I'm not ready for freelance sites yet, that's why I chose Textbroker, it is I feel one of the best writing sites for a beginner writer to get started into the freelance writing business. Every field has its tips and trade secrets and freelance writing is no exception. You just have to learn about them as you become more experience as a writer. The best advise I can give is start out with writing sites that you can prefect your craft with first, before going on to those freelance bidding sites, they really want writers with some writing expertise.

There aren't really any tricks to it except to know your writing style and to always try to make your writing better so that you'll get more jobs or more income. I write reviews and I think I've been doing well. I've been able to make payout on Review Stream, so my freelance writing does help me a little bit. Still finding more ways to make money though. None of it is easy.

I've been writing in Odesk for quite some time now. Nope there are no tricks into it, as far as I know. But you can never be sure, but I think Elance is a Legit site, I have an account there too, but I am already writing for an employer. If you write well then you'll do good in this business. =)
