Which is best affiliate marketing concept by Blogging or social networking sites

Can any one suggest me which method of affiliate marketing programs is good, either by creating own blog and promoting products or by just promoting products using social networking sites like facebook, twitter, my space etc KIndly help me to find the better solutions?

I'm using the Amazon affiliate program, and I like it. They have tons of products, from books to electronics to music... so it is very easy to find something you like in their program.
