How do you celebrate Ramadhan and Syawal?

Here in Singapore, in the month of Ramadahan, many Muslims will celebrate with prayers and after that you can shop at a place in Geylang Serai where you can find all kinds of foods and all kinds of things to buy to decorate the house in Syawal. When Syawal comes by, we will go visit our Muslim relatives and friends to tighten family ties and strengthen friendship. This question came up because my husbands friend who lives in Australia came to our house with her husband telling us that during the month of Ramadhan, where they are living, they will be busy holding iftars with their friends and families and they do not celebrate most of Syawal visiting as they have done that in Ramadhan. So, my Muslims brothers abd sisters, how do you spend Ramadhan and Syawal where you live? Happy Fasting!!

This month is the month that I look forward to. This month I felt very calm. The arrival of this month I will not miss anything interfere with my worship. I welcome this month with my new. I celebrate this month with emphasis on worship. When Syawal comes, the chance for me to apologize to all the people around me.

We do more ibadah also but over here its very commercial. A lot of Muslims here spend a lot to make their homes extra nice for Syawal. A little out of context to me but I get by.
