Wisdom Tooth

Why is a wisdom tooth called so? If one has a wisdom tooth does it really mean that the person is wiser than prior to having the Wisdom tooth?
Do you believe that there is anysignificance to the wisdom tooth?

Well I can't be certain but this is my guess.
Most people get their wisdom teeth around 18 or so.. By this time in your life, you should have acquired some wisdom. That's probably why they call it that.
