Why Fool Around With Penny Ante PTCs When There's Bigger Money To Be Made?

I always see here on myLot people touting the virtues of PTCs, or being scammed by them. With these things you always have to depend on other people to make you money like referrals. If you take more control of your money making you'll find that you will be much better off. I just did another discussion here telling of some success I've had with affiliate marketing lately. It's a bigger playing field, but it offers more money and anyone can do it and it's not that hard to learn. Another way to make money online that beats the hell out doing PTCs is article writing. If you write for places like Textbroker, Associated Content and eCopywriters that pay per article you can make in one day what you make with PTCs in a several months. Try looking at a bigger picture rather then something that seems easy if you plan to make a living online.

And how many properties do you currently have? If you don't mind sharing, it could be helpful for others to know...

Hi artguy! I have a full time job, working 8 hours a day, but since I gave birth to my first baby, things have changed. Suddenly, me and my husband started looking for additional income sources. My brother-in-law, sho is a website designer, referred me to one of his clients, and to make the story short, I started writing articles for his client. Some are used as introductory pages of a website, some are just articles on different things that our client is selling. I have written articles on Leli Kelly shoes, Carp Fishing books, Head Torches, Pushchairs and many more. I am being paid per hour. I'll try to check on your suggested sites for writers, and see what's best for me. Thanks alot! .I have sent a friend request, hope you'll accept. I still have alot of questions for you.. :P

I agree but to get to write for places like Textbroker, AC and ecopywriters don't you have to show your writing ability. In other words you can't just sign up and start getting paid big money right? Affiliate marketing is defintely something i have always thought about but that takes a lot of time and determination. Right now i am trying to make some small cash so that i can launch this t-shirt business i am looking into. I also don't know how to get into affiliate marketing any link would be greatly appreciated, cheers.

With Textbroker and eCopywriters you do have to show your writing ability, but not with AC. They give you a subject to write about and according to that they will give you a rating your per word payment will be established from that. Affiliate might be easier than you think. Look up bum marketing. Also check out these ladies Pot Pie Girl and Tiffany Dow. Also in my profile there's a free Squidoo e-book that will show you how to use Squidoo. I use Squidoo for my affiliate offers.

I agree with you for the most part, but some of us prefer to have several sources of income, so you don't have to be dependent on one. And also, as far as I know, you need some money to invest in order to get started in affiliate marketing (at least if you want to have your own domain and stuff), so maybe that could be the reason for some? Just guessing though!

If you want your own domain you do have to spend some money, but you don't have to have your own domain to make money with affiliate marketing. I'm using Squidoo, Hubpages and Weebly, all free sources. A lot of people have a lot of wrong ideas about affiliate marketing. It is sometimes called bum marketing because a bum off the street can get into it without having any money at all.

You are right that those can make more money but are also harder to do. About affiliate marketing, there is a bigger chance that you will lose more money than earning if you don't study it seriously. Just like forex! I hope you are one of those who earns money from affiliate marketing, but how much do you really earn from it if you don't mind me asking?

You don't have to spend any money to do affiliate marketing. The affiliate networks are free to join, you do your affiliate marketing from Squidoo Lenses, or make a Weebly site or a Hubpages, all free. You basically promote by leaving links to your properties on related properties like blogs, forums and other websites that you can make for free. Article marketing is the best way of promoting and you don't have to be a great writer. Once again free.
