I recently was charged for something I thought I had cancelled. I called customer service to cancel it and they gave me a difficult time about it. They also did not want to refund my money. I got rather rude to the person I was speaking to and asked to speak to her boss. By the end of the call I was told I would be getting my refund. Hopefully I actually do. Looking back I feel bad about my attitude. I was upset and took it out on them. I have worked in customer service and remember people talking to me that way. Has anyone been rude to someone like this?

Well I had a problem with my World of Warcraft account, so I had to call them on the phone and the thing that nerved me was that I had to wait on the phone for like 15 minutes. But I didn't shout. Look my mother is a different person. When something is not good for here, she begins to shout. But people from the call center are usually not responsible.

I never yelled at anyone, just had a rude tone when they would not cooperate with me. I do feel bad.

Hi, I used to be a customer service officer at bank's call centre and I worked at 2 different banks. I encountered different level of persons during my work and It helps to touch up my communication skills and definitely I am more mature in handling people. Some customer can be very nasty and demanding. NOw, I have resigned from my work and sometimes when I call any bank call centre to enquiries on some issues, I got those slow respond and give me a difficult time, then I will start to raise my voice and demanded to speak to their manager. Sometimes, Thing will get done when I am more firm and tough to handle. and it is prove workable. it happened to me several times and at last, I got my things done. Previously, I never be that firm in handling things, but since I worked in call centre and liase with those nasty customers, I slowly pick up their way in getting their things done and it is workable in certain ways. Of course, I will see the situation before I got myself firm and demanding. Sometimes the customer service officer just don't how to handle the calls in the right way and only when the call is escalated to their manager,it was done in the next few minutes.

I work in a call center. And we get such calls, and we know how to handle it. But I have done it to others as well, it's not to say it's not their fault, I actually called them to cancel their service but still got charged me, so yes, I shouted at them and asked to speak to their supervisor because they were not at all helping me, when I got to speak to the supervisor, she didn't help as well, she was supposed to call me two weeks ago to update me, but she didn't.. A really sucky call center.

Hello lulu, It's part of the job. there's simply no way such confrontations on the phone can be avoided. you need to get what you want and unfortunately, if the company thinks you won't get it right away, the call center agent doesn't have a choice but to say no. I've been to this situation, and when ever the customer gets mad, i feel guilty too.

I was in your shoes before and I also felt the pinch of guilt... however, we should practice consumer vigilance most of the time to enhance the services in our country as well..
