...Hello loneliness. I think I'm gonna cry... I am internet addict. I stay most of time in front of the computer. I go out rarely. I am hardly social. (I don't know if you understood the last phrase, but I meant that I hardly start talking to people) I'd like to stop spending so much time in front of the screen, so I'd be thankful if you give me an advise. Please! Thank you in advance!

Don't worry.. U can always take the first step out, go out of the house, enjoy a nice cup of coffee.. It's ok to be alone, for u are spending quality to yourself, as a form of relaxation. Over the time, u should be able to be used to it, and see it as a routine, being out more often instead of spending more time in front of the computer. Be brave enough, go ahead to socialize around.

I was forced to be a cyber addict. I did not select this addiction by choice, it was more kind of forced onto me by my health conditions, which force me to stay at home and live there all alone. Now, after 5 years, I have a virtual identity and a lot of friends on the internet. I spend about 16-20 hours per day on the computer and about 80% goes to my being online. I keep myself busy with reading, programming, playing games, traveling... doing all those things that I could do if I was healthy and fit. I would not say that this has made me non-social(going by your definition of social). I am still willing to talk out. Unfortunately, under these circumstances, I cannot say that it is a bad addiction and you should get rid of it... Take Care
