The final 440 U. S. troops in Iraq are leaving as of tonight. Those left, approximately 50,000 will be on training missions teaching and working in offices. No more combat troops will be in Iraq once these last soldiers cross the border. Share your thoughts.

I watched this news in the morning today. The American soldiers are happy because finally they can be home with their families again. I also think this is a good sign. At least Iraq can have independent managements for their own country. And USA won't be involved to it. Hopefully this can be a forever peace. I love China

...Hi there youless, I think you are quite correct. Seven years of being in Iraq is really seven years too long. I am sure as you say the soldiers will be very happy to come home to their families who will be glad as well to have them home. I only hope that those who need help on a mental level will be able to find it. War is awful on soldier's minds and they are often left to deal with it on their own. We can only hope for the best for Iraq and that we don't have to be there in a combat position ever again. Thanks for your response, take care.
