Kadayawan Festival in Davao

The Philippine Festival like Kadayawan is a cultural events that happens every month of August. This is a one week celebration for Davawenyos to thank the nature for their bountiful harvest of fruits. The Kadayawan word is derived from the Mandaya word "madayaw" a nice, warm and friendly greeting of Davawenyos. Long time ago, Davao's ethnic tribes residing at the foot of the Mt. Apo would converge during a bountiful harvest. The ritual serves as their thanksgiving to gods particularly to "Manama" This August. are you from davao city too?i bet you are.it's good to know that i found a dabawenyo here in mylot.i am residing here in davao with my family right now. i have also my work here. kadayawan really means a blessing to all dabawenyo's. the fruits are so affordable, and their are a lot of it wherever you go. this is one thing i love about kadayawan. the fruits and the celebration are really one of the best things about davao city. i love it here!

Yeah.. your right, its a blessing for davawenyos to have a blessed nature and blessed fruits. Last night i attend the event in rizal park, which is the coca cola dance contest. its very exciting. And i love to see the people enjoying this event. Later i will go to EMARS Wavepool to attend the signing contract of Maja Salvador. Its a very Busy Davao in this time right now.. Im ready to watch the Indak Indak event tomorrow
