How do you store rubber bands?

How do you store your rubber bands? Do you keep them in the original bag that they came in or do you take them out and put them in a ziplock bag. I wouldnt want my rubber bands to get dusty so I assume others would feel the same way. If mine got dusty I would want to throw them away. My niece has a rubber band ball collection that she just got started. Thats one way to store them but they could still get dusty that way so I wouldnt want to do that either. The way I store mine is in a washed out peanut butter container. It works great. Theres no way they will get dusty inside that and the jar is easy to open and see through so you can tell easily whats in there when you look at the shelf or open the drawer that its in.

I don't personally use many rubber bands but on the occasions when I have had some around I ended up either wrapping the small ones around the end of a pencil or making a ball out of the bigger ones :) In honesty the main use I can remember for rubber bands throughout my life has been flicking them off my thumb across the room at something, ;)

I dont know if I've ever myself actually flicked rubber bands off my thumb across the room at someone. I've had it done to me when I was in school though when boys wanted to fling them at me. Eww I cant stand the way a pencil looks when it has a rubber band wrapped around it. Something about it juts grosses me out.

I have some of the little and larger drawers that we can buy for keeping in rooms or near a desk. I have two in a stack of small ones on top of my desk and one large one under the end of my desk and it has a smaller drawer and two large ones. I keep my rubber bands and small things in the small drawer under the desk.

That sounds like a good way to organize them. I just love things being organized. I am a neat freak but if you looked at my house right now you'd never know it. My kids were with their father and I wasent feeling good so I laid around and slept all day. I also have those little drawers you are speaking of. I have one in my bathroom cupboard. It has three drawers that I have holding... makeup sponges, cotton balls and cotton swabs. I love it my friend gave it to me a few years ago.
