I am planning to go for holiday in October with my husband. I am wondering where we should choose with that small budget. I have gone to Hongkong before. Thailand is also a good destination but I'm afraid of its security. We have 3 days off only. Can you help me,guys?

Hi, The currency that you are referring is in US$? Hope my guess is right. With that amount, you can travel to Malaysia, have a short trip to Langkawi Island or Kuala Lumpur. You can stay at Tune Hotels which cost cheaper and convenience. There is always public transport for you to take if you were travel to Kuala Lumpur ,Malaysia. I been there few times and it is a great place for shopping and short getaway.

Try visiting the Philippines, it is very inexpensive to travel around the Philippines. You can visit Boracay in Cebu if you are fond of going to the beach. But if you want to try snorkeling or scuba diving Palawan is the best place to be. I hope you can visit my country and I guarantee that your $1800 is more than enough for a 3day vacation.

Kerenkeng, yeah. Philippines is a good option. with 1800 dollars it is equivalent to more or less 80,000 Philippine pesos which can really allow you to enjoy your holiday. Palawan is a good option. There are so many beautiful beaches there and also in Boracay which is in Aklan (it is not in Cebu). However, Boracay has many tourists and during peak season, you should expect that there are a lot of tourists there. Bohol, Philippines is also one of the cheapest tourist destination. And there are so many good places to visit there. With that much pocket, you can buy a lot of souvenirs and even stay in a good room in Panglao Island. And it is also peaceful. I've been there a couple of times. ;-)

Singapore may be an option. Very nice city, and many places of tourist attraction. I have been there several times. Yes, it is a bit more expensive than places in Thailand. But, I think if you have friends there who can help you out in finding less expensive accommodation, that would woek out fine. Have a nice holiday !

By the way, what do you like the most? If you want to go to nice beaches, you can try to go to Philippines. As I have mentioned in my previous post, you can go to Boracay in Aklan or in Palawan. There are many wonderful beaches there. Bohol offers not just nice beaches but also nice places like Chocolate hills, Loboc River, Sagbayan Peak and many more. Plus you'll get to see the smallest monkey called tarsier. Your 1800 dollars is too much if you'll go to Philippines especially in Bohol since the cost of living there is very cheap and most of the stuff is cheap. But if you want to visit historical places, temples and even the Demilitarized Area, you can try backpacking in South Korea. 1800 dollars in Korea is approximately 1,800,000 won. If you will just stay in cheap hotels/hostels you can still find good and safe accommodation for at most 60,000 won good for two persons (try Namsan Hotel). There you can see the known Namsan Tower. It is really good. But if you'd like to see the temples and palaces, you can just take the City Tour Bus. The fare is really cheap and it will take you to the palaces/temples around the city. If you'll go to South Korea, I also suggest you go to Gyeongju since it is an "Open Museum". You can stay in Hanjin Hostel (the room is 25,000won per night) and it is near to most tourist spots so you can just walk and save some money. ;-) There are a lot of tourist spots there which are listed in UNESCO and even considered as National Treasure. When I backpacked alone in SK, my 900 USD was too much for me. Hope you can tell us your travel experience soon. :D

If you avoid Bangkok and go to places like Chiangmai, it is relatively safe. In any case, with a budget of 1800 for three days, you can visit almost all the places in Asia. Tell us your ideal holiday, shopping, beach resort, etc etc, and we can give you more ideas.

Hello, nice planing i can suggest you that you can visit Bangladesh. Where green field or so many memorable things you can collect with in your budget. You can discover a good hospitality in the rural people of Bangladesh. Just go to a village side where is reality laid down. So many rivers, canals and a biggest sea beach Bay of Bengal. I promise you, you can enjoy the whole things of Bangladesh as a tourist. On beside you can see also some hilly scenarios on tour of Sea Beach from Dhaka to Chittagong. Dhaka is a capital of Bangladesh. 'Amar Sonar Bangla' (My golden bangla..) is Bangladeshi national anthem. If you plan seven days of tour then you can see a mangrove forest in Bangladesh also in your travel package on with the budget. Where do you start your journey? If it's clear then i'll draw a trip schedule for best as my experience. Wishing happy travelling on your holiday.

Singapore seems like a nice place. We are also planning to go there. Thailand is also an options but I have to think about it very carefully. Anyway, whichever you choose. I hope you are going to have a good time with your husband.

I would suggest Philippines. With that budget (considering us dollars), it would take more or less 80k. That would be too much and you'll really have a splendid vacation. We have a little bit of everything here. If you're a nature lover, we lots here from water falls to beautiful scenery. If you're a beach lover, we lots here also, boracay to palawan to some exclusive beach/pool resorts. If you want places for night outs, we have lots. If you want amusement parks, we also have choices. We have a little bit of everything here in the Philippines which you will surely enjoy! :)
