Man, do you do housework? how often?

Nowadays, studies show that women do a majority of the household chores. till now, the mainstream of thinking has not shifted significantly from women being responsible for housework. One reason for this lack of change can be attributed to male stereptypes in the media. It is not masculine to clean; have you ever seen the Terminator washing dishes or James Bond clean floors? In the movies, masculine men blow things up, drive fast cars, use the largest gadgets and have women fawning all over them. These images run through your man's head, when he's asked to throw out the trash. It;s true real men are capable of doing housework, but in real world they close not to. Man or woman, whoever you are, do you think the man should do the housework? Can you accept the lifestyle in your family: women outside and men stay home?

I used to do housework and it felt really good to be appreciated by my ex for my hard work. I m a stubborn man that worships the ideology of only blowing things up, driving fast cars, using the largest gadgets. Imagine how warm the scene would be when the soldier comes back and seizes the dishes kissing his wife:hey baby, why don't you have a rest,I'll do it. However your topic kinda of drifted away when you raised the question that women outside and men stay home. It's a much more specific concept of staying at home being a homemaker over doing housework.

Yes nowadays many men also do household work. Before it used to be the women but now both men and women are working together since it's quite difficult for a woman to do all these things by herself. It feels quite good actually because i help my mom a lot in the household work and i find myself quite satisfies because it's my work itself and then i come to know the pain that someone else is going through when they are doing the same work by themselves. Some men as you said don't want to do such work because they don't like doing or maybe they don't want to be bossed around. They are the ones who are usually egoistic and very social everywhere except at their own home. I hope men can look at this perspective from a different angle. Cheers!

yes now a days even men do household work....inspite of their busy schedule they are helping their beloved ones in all their works.actually married pair are sharing their work so as not to burden themselves. now a days men's mind set has changed a lot even they are not hesitating to do work along with their mates.this is the change that everyone's expecting to be...

My husband and I share the house work. I am a WAHM, but sometimes my husband helps inside. I sometimes cut the grass and do other yard work. It is our house so we do the work to maintain it. What ever keeps the house flowing is what is important. What a lot of men don't realize is that if they help out more around the house, they may get more help in the bedroom, if you catch my drift ;)

I want to say something on my boyfriend who does not do any household at all and this is constantly irritating me as I have to do everything myself at home, he knows only how to make a mess out of everything which is well placed at home.
