In horror movies, when people talk about evil, it is always darkness? Why do we assume that in darkness there is evil? Can't white be evil?

I think it's the way we feel towards it. If I were blind, I won't be able to tell black from white, but I can actually feel the aura from that person whether he/she's good or evil.

What I meant was it's not how our eyes perceive black and white with regards to good and evil...you'll sometimes get these chills just by talking to a person no matter how great he looks on the outside. Sometimes, people are not scared of the darkness just because they're used to it. It's basically psychological. When you're used to associating white with evil, it will be evil for you. Like I said, if I were blind, how was I to tell it's white when all I can see is the dark?

Gorilla, evil is effective under the cover of darkness. It strikes when you don't see it.

Well, since my church says that our bodies are created in the image of god, then maybe god also has a weak eyesight in the dark that is maybe why evil is effective there.

This is an interesting question. Often white is used as another word for good and black for evil, but I don't see why it has to be just those colors. Maybe it is because we are afraid of the dark night when we don't see well what is around us?

In the dark, humans can't see. And when they can't see, everything is unknown to there. That is where the fear factor comes in. Human is fearful of the unknown. Evil is also an unknown factor and humans fear it as well. So add one to one and we have two. Evil equals darkness.
