do you research a paid to site before you use it?

have you ever read about these sites before you ever tried them? Do you sign up after seeing everyone else sign for them. I sometimes sign up if I see a lot of people using them, then i realize it becomes a fly-by-night site. The best thing to do is keep your eyes open i guess.

Yes, I try to do as much research on websites as possible before I join them. It's how I found my way to MyLot, actually, because I was looking at articles on Helium to see how to make money and this site was mentioned, so I thought I'd join and see if it really worked. I'll review it once I hit payout.
