The hostage taking was finally ove. The unfortunate incident claimed the life of the hostage taker Insp rolando mendoza and 8-14 victims...I hope this won't happen again...Now the Hongkong government has issued a travel ban against he philippines.

if they are trained seriously. probably, but situations are always different from each other.

That was the saddest thing that happened yesterday. I feel like there is no safe place in the world. I think the police department, SWAT and all others did their part but that wasn't enough. They could've done better. The negotiation wasn't done well. Of course, I don't think all of his demands should be given but there was a NEGOTIATION because they are supposed to negotiate and try to express to the hostage taker the best they can offer. I wasn't sure but the news said that what also triggered the police attack was when the driver said that there was no one alive there. The police should have taken measure to make sure that it was sure but since they don't have good equipments, they weren't sure if that was true or not. Anyway, many lives were lost and even if everyone can pinpoint as to who are to blame but it can't bring back the lost lives. I'm just wondrin' where the president was during the crisis. I never even heard the news mentioning as to what the president suggested the officers should do. All I know was that he expressed his condolences. Was that it?
