simple reason. because GOrdon wasn't President and Negotiator there at that time. i believe this anger will stay in MONTHS.

I hate to say this, but you should not bode ill will against your own country just because your favorite politician was not voted.

Well freedom of speech comes with a responsibility. Not all of us ackowledges that oftentimes we tend to put down our own country while talking about a politician like he is a god or something. Yeah I would say Gordon is a good politician. Great in hostage negotiations? Probably true...But back in May would announcing he is a great hostage negotiator would have caused people to vote him as their next President? I dont think so. As a president if he was indeed elected, it is not even his job to directly negotiate with every suspects that take hostages.

Of course, this incident will have its repercussions on our tourism industry. Hong Kong has already raised a black alert against the Philippines. We cannot blame them for doing so. I hope that we, Filipinos, especially those with bad intentions against our foreign visitors, realize that one of the industries that keep our economy afloat is our tourism industry. If we harm foreigners, we hurt our reputation and we hurt our economy, too.

this is a very sad and frustrating incident, this should not happened if the only give the demand of the hostage taker, but anyway i can't say more about this, i don't know the whole story it has a very bad effect on our tourism, we can't blame the Chinese on their decision.

What happened will have a set back to our tourism industry but i would like to think that it's just temporary. People reacted because of the lapses that happened but i'm sure people are now scrambling to address the issue and avoid a similar incident. Besides, it's very clear that what happened was an isolated incident and it could happen to any country. For now, we can't blame why there are hongkong nationals that are angry but i would like to believe that it is just temporary. i'm sure we would feel the same if filipinos were the victims. Time heals heals everything. That's why it's important that we condole with the victims and let them feel that we are sorry and that we care.
