Is Majority rule always right?

United States

We, The United States of American always go with democracy, or the majority rule. We listen to our people's vote, and respect the majority wants and needs through poll. I just wondering if this method always work. Or does majority of people always make the right choice or decision? What if the decision already made is wrong, would we go again with the majority vote again? Our democracy system for us for centuries, and I just want to know what procedure would they follow to correct the wrongs?

I don't think majority rule is always right, the majority could be selfish and disregard the minorities rights/feelings or flat out just have a wrong opinion.

The majority rule can fail. People can have the same opinions or decisions that are not so good. In some cases it might work but in other it might just cause trouble.
