When Venus Raj proclaimed as fourth runner up in the recent Miss Universe pageant, the filipinos seems to forgot a while the tragic incident brought by the bloody hostage drama. Despite the negative impact to the international still the Philippines steps forward and stand out all the obstacles, this only mean that amids the storms suffered by the Philippines now, their is light for us to shine and this attributes to the person of Venus Raj. What do you think about the victory of Venus Raj? Does her Victory uplift the Filipinos?

Yes.., definitely it is something that could make our mind divert away from the tragic incident of the hostage taking the other night.. It devastated a lot of people and a shame to our country.., Ms. Venus Raj won an achievement for our country and that made us all proud.., but she could have won the title if she answered the question more deeply..=)

Probably you're right! if she only answered the question wisely, she might won the crown but unfortunately she was too nervous that really affects her answers. but we still proud of her because out of 83 countries she made it in 4th which is also a big factor for us Pinoys! Mabuhay Tayong lahat!

Of course yes! eventhough she didn't won the crown she still brought honors to our country. Being part of the top 5 of the Ms. Universe pageant is such a great achievement for Venus and for our country so we should be proud of her.

Yes, of course she really does uplift Filipino's spirit. After a day of tragic hostage drama, she brings faith and put a smile in every Filipino's face.

Yes it definitely uplifted the Filipinos. I am so proud of her. I just also watched her humble beginnings in you tube. It really touched my heart. She is definitely a family oriented person that is why she doesn't have any major major problem with her life. absolutely no regrets! These people who criticize her is not really constructive I could tell, but they should be the one who would go there in the pageant themselves.

Yes. At least something positive came up after the very sad event for the Filipinos. But still she did not won the pageant, since she came 4th. Many were disappointed with her answer. I couldn't imagine someone who have lived 22 years who did not encountered any mistake in their lives. Imagine that! Maybe she now realize her big mistake...

yes, maybe now she realized that mistake, but I think too much nervous prompt her not to answer wisely the question.

Yes, I agree with you, her top performance yesterday at Miss U momentarily forgot the distressing hostage-taking incident and somehow inspired Filipinos to still be very proud of our country.

Philippines are very proud of Venus raj having the fourth runner up in the Miss Universe pageant despite the hostage drama. The crowning for Miss Universe 2010 happened first before the tragic event. I'm just a little bit disappointed regarding the question and answer portion. Her answer is really far beyond the question. I mean mistake is not a problem as what she had answered the question. but I'm still proud of her
