I have gone back to crocheting and knitting and I have been able to buy some really bargain materials that's keeping me inspired to do some crafts. I have made my first 3 Christmas decor by crocheting them, and I was not really disappointed with the results because I think they're CUTE! What do you think? Have you ever done this before?

I really envy you. Your earning a substantial amount of money through a home based writing job while doing the things you enjoy doing, just like crocheting and knitting. I do not know how to knit but I would really love to learn how to. I know how to crochet and I have not really completed a project I could be proud of. I would also like to do some cross stiching again. The bells you made are really cute. I wish I can do the things you are doing right now.

It doesn't take up much time to do these decors. I did them in less than 3 hours! Actually, I pushed myself to do these hobbies because the process of stitching has a therapeutic effect -- it relaxes and removes stress. Knitting is really simple, and you can find references on this online. I think there are videos about this on YouTube. I learned to knit when I was in Baguio during my college days, but nobody really taught me. I am a very enthusiastic reader and I just learned through a book -- can you believe that? Anyway, after I learned the craft, I was so eager to learn more and I bought several books which I eventually lost (sigh). Crocheting is a different thing because my mom taught me how to do it, and although I was never really that fond of it, I managed to learn and do the stitches. Unfortunately, motherhood came along and I had to set my hobbies aside to do more important things like earning a living and caring for the kids. But now that they're all grown up, I can now do my stuff online, and when I get tired or have no jobs to do, I create my crochet/knitting stuff and then I get to sleep soundly. Just like you, I do not know of any crochet project I did before that I could be proud of. But look at what I can create now... I also did cross stitching once upon a time, and was even able to sell my creations for a high price. I even have a pending one, a huge one, but I don't know where the pattern is now, or my threads, or... All I remember is that it is unfinished so I could neither sell it nor dispose of it -- of course, I wouldn't want to throw away the money and effort I spent for this. But come to think of it, what is it's value now if I can't sell it or throw it away. I don't really know. Thanks for liking the bell. It is actually my favorite too. I can send you the pattern if you like so you can make your own before the holidays come along. Sorry for rambling. I do that often when I get carried away. Of course you can do the things I am doing, it just takes some time management. But then again, at some point in my life I also stopped doing these, so I don't know if you are also at that point now. Anyway, just send me a message if you'd like to have the pattern okay?

I would like to have the pattern. I'll PM you my email address. The kids would really love it. I have a 3 year old niece and and a 5 month old nephew at home. Before they joined the family, we were not that enthusiastic when it comes to decorating the house since all of my siblings and cousins are all grown up. but now that we have these kids around, I am definitely sure they will ne estatic to see a lot of colors and decorations this Christmas. Your bell is just perfect. It's cute and safe for the children. I am pretty sure they will love it.

the truth that I never had to make Christmas arrangements, not knit or do home decorations for these parties. Whenever we set up the tree, decorated with lights and wreaths, we occasional ornament, but we always bought or using the same things year after year, while in good condition and do not break.
