Waited almost an hour to get a ride because of traffic

Just got home after almost an hour of waiting for any not-yet-full public utility vehicle. The traffic is worse tonight! I don't know why. This is the first time it happened this year, I think based on my experience. I really hate it when that happens! I almost decided to just walk about 5 KM to my destination. But thank God I managed to get a ride when a jeepney illegally take a U-Turn slot. They are not supposed to use that U-Turn slot. How about you? What is your worst traffic experience? And how did you deal with it?

Every night is a nightmare here in the Philippines. The reason for the heavy traffic is the continuous rain which brought floods around the metro. I live in Marikina and when I got off LRT3, traffic was terrible in Katipunan because of the knee-high flood in Marcos Highway. Took me 2 hours to get home.

@TheAdvocate Actually its not really that bad everyday in my way home. Probably because of the rain that caused that traffic. I just hope that won't happen every time it rains. @LaadieGerald I agree friday is when traffic is worst. That's why I make sure I do all my tasks in the office so I could go home earlier. MRT is really really cramped when I go home late on Fridays.

Everyday is traffic day in metro manila hehe, I can't remember the worst exp. because I think I've gotten used to it at that time...I'm glad I'm living here in Baguio now. There isn't much traffic jam here compared to Metro manila. And the cool air while riding the jeepney makes the ride even better.

oh, i would agree with you, i have friends who got stuck in traffic, they can't drive pass a road because of the flood too... i have friends whose street are flooded but inside the apartments, no water has come in yet... the sudden heavy rain really caused a lot of traffic, and waiting time and hassle to the metro! I had to come out of the office at around 8 pm just to make sure that all other people has gone home... i was in the main road a few minutes away from our home yesterday and it took me half an hour, it was only supposed to be 5 minutes! that's how bad the traffic was last night.
