Have you ever asked yourself, " what is the meaning of life?"

For centuries men and women have searched for meaning and purpose. Why am I here? What should I pursue and accomplish duing my life? What will brng me tru contentment and happiness? Great Greek thinkers, 400 years before Christ, believed the answers could be found through personal observation and logical analysis. Their rational: Truth is somewhere in the universe, so if you think long enough and hard enough, you will discover it-either through the thoughts which lie wthin you or through the external experiences which happen to you. For the most part, today's thinkers conclude that it is not human reasoning of scientific study that give men nd women purpose and meaning. They believe a purposeful life can only be found through new and vital experiences. Their motto: Live life for the now. Try new things. Get out of the rut of routine. Enjoy yourself. Their rationale: You may never know which of your new "highs" will take you into the realm of understanding why you have been placed on this earth. King Solomon of Isael was recognized as one of the greatest thinkers of his time. He wrestled with many of the same questions you may ask yourself today, and he spent many years searching for happiness. His search and conclusions are recorded in a book caled Ecclesiastes-a book which is part of the Old Testament section of the Bible. As an old man, Solomon reflected upon all the things he had done. His search began with God and came full circle back to God. His final conclusion was that without God's involvement, everything you do is meaningless. It is only as you make God the central thread of the fabric of your life that you will be whole and find fulfillment. Can you relate with Solomon's experiences? The Book of Ecclesiastes contains the reflections of King Solomon as an elderly man who had failed to include God in much of his life. (Ecc 1:2,2:4-26)

Honestly, this question never crossed my mind. I guess it is because I have learned that life isn't about having fame or money. Yes. The example of King Solomon can truly give us a good lesson about life. He got all the wisdom, fame and wealth but these are not the stuff that can give real happiness. These can give happiness but just temporary. We do need God. It doesn't mean that we just sit and wait for his grace for him to shower us with material things to survive. We still need to work, find money but we should not make this as the central point of our lives. By making God our priority, serving Him can give us lasting happiness and meaningful life. I know many will not agree on my believe but I just wished to be respected. ;-)

in my vision, meaning of life is to live few days. humans collect moneys for their day to day activities. some of them collect more moneys and some were not. am not a christian so i don't agree with you. no religion means less relations.
