What about room bills?

I am on vacation in Greece, but I don't know Greek. so I speak English there. My English is not very good, so when I have to ask to put the restaurant bill to that room bill, I don't know what to say. I say "Can you put the the bill to the room". Well they understand me, but doesn't sound right. What about you? You're going on vacation where? Do you eat in restaurants? Do you prefer to pay by cash, or charge "the bill to the room"?

I will prefer to charge everything there to my room bill, and be paying for them all, when i check out. It's more convenient in this way, plus i have the extra cash to spend, rather than paying the hotel. One thing i won't be paying cash directly, because some of the bellhods might see, and they might be helping us out, in the hope of more tips. So it's safer to keep our money inside the pocket till we check out.
