Today I am very upsate to hear that I got B grade in one of my course Though I deserve A grade in this course as far as my performance shows. Another student in this course got A grade though her performance of class participation and exam report reveal that she is in the position to achive C grade in this course. When I asked my faculty that its so unfair to me as I don not deserve this poor grade. My faculty reply "You do not have face value!" I really don't get my faculty point of view. Is he trying to underestimate me and favouring who got face value? If so what do you think about face value my friends? Is face value matters in case of grading ?

That teacher is sick, is that how he makes grades? by outside beauty and not the brain? If that is so, your teacher must be kicked out as a teacher.

You can even brought this issue over Principal's Office if you want to. When I was still studying, there are terror teacher and I am so afraid of them, but now I can say that if there are abusive teacher, it should be discuss with the authority and they have to be punish.

A face value does not have any relation while giving a grade to the students. The grade we get should depend upon our talents but not on our face value. Your faculty should not have done this.

I think it was very unfair of your teacher to tell you that. Face value should not play a very important role when it comes to giving grades, it should be the performance that matters. But don't despair, everything happens for a reason... Good luck!

Hi there! It really depends if "Face Value" is included in the criteria for grading the students in a particular subject. I suggest you ask your teacher what he or she meant by face value. Then if ask him if that is really part in grading the students. After that tell everything to your guidance councilor and ask for advise on what to do about it. You can even tell your parents. Remember this, teachers should not degrade their students in any way. They are the role models of the school. You can certainly file a complaint against your teacher for saying that to you.

No, face value doesnot required for this subject at it is Maths subject. Its only because the teacher may not like me for any reason or like others better than me. My performance and class participation is good. Yes, I am thinking to complain about this teacher. Thanks for your comment mlhervas.
